Rotem Nir

Rotem Nir, born in 1998, is an Israeli conductor and Conductor in
Residence at the Israeli Opera and Israel Symphony Orchestra, regularly
leading operas and symphonic concerts while assisting Music Director Dan
Ettinger. He worked with orchestras including Haifa Symphony, Ra'anana
Symphonette, Israel Camerata Jerusalem, and Ensemble 21. Internationally,
he has assisted at the Salzburg Festival, Teatro San Carlo Naples, and
Rotterdam Philharmonic. In 2023, he debuted in Germany conducting Handel’s
oratorio Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno with the Georgian
Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt. Rotem is also a bassoonist, having served as
Associate Principal Bassoon with the Israeli Opera Orchestra from 2019 to
2022.
